Pinupsfortroops.com, a nonprofit organization started by Roger and Cindy Johnston, began as an effort to lift the spirits of deployed troops. Since Roger has been affiliated with the military off and on over the past 20 years, he and his wife Cindy know first hand the worries on the home front and the battlefield. “This project all came about with my annoyance at those damn $1.99 yellow ribbon magnets that say Support the Troops,” says Johnston, “I wanted to do more, and well since pin ups during past conflicts were always a very welcome distraction I decided to get as many of the modern day pin ups to contribute to a book… Nothing reminds me more of home than our beautiful women.”
Roger Johnston is the owner of Lucky Seven Salon, a photography/hair salon in Provo, Utah, where every need for a photo shoot can be met…hair, makeup and, well of course, photos. The Johnston’s are a husband and wife team that also travels outside of Utah to offer their photography services. Thankfully the Johnston’s decided to focus on what is important…the TROOPS and those that support them, NOT a political agenda. A pin-up book is currently being compiled to raise funds for our deployed soldiers. It can be pre-ordered through the pinupsfortroops.com website now, and will be available in the spring of 2006.

All profits collected will be given to the USO and used to purchase supplies and put together care packages for our troops, so buy a book and enjoy the skin!
