86: And then what?
bv: Manage, coach, and have a stable of my own fighters.

86: As we all saw at the end of your last fight against Eiler, there’s a woman in your life. How’d the wedding go?
bv: The wedding was cool; it went off without a hitch as they would say. It was in Vegas, it lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. It was real chill, just family and friends. About 30 students from City Boxing that I was real close with came. It was awesome, we were in and out. I think taking the pictures took longer than the damn wedding. So it was cool, it wasn’t all stuffy. I wore sandals, these sandals actually. I wore these sandals to the wedding! So it was good.

86: You go on the honeymoon yet?
bv: No, we haven’t gone on the honeymoon yet. I can’t be away right now. There’s too many phone calls, too many interviews, too many ‘have to be here, have to be there’ things going on right now…And I have to do it! Cuz if not then I slip underneath the covers again and people won’t know about me till my next fight.

86: So, is the new lifestyle going to change things for you, being married and all?
bv: No, it hasn’t. I’m actually not training right now…kinda just hanging out, bullshitting.

86: I heard you mention something about an injury or something earlier.
bv: On my elbow. I got an MRI today. Was gonna take that one step at a time and see what happens with that. It’s kinda bothering me, mentally right now. Last time I had an elbow surgery it put me out for a year and a half, so I’m kinda…I’m not one of those people that…I’m not a claustrophobic person, I don’t have some kind of phobia, I’m trying not to be like that about this elbow, but DUDE!

86: It’s coming around biting you?
bv: Yeah, keeps nipping at me.

86: So after you were out for about 2 years from the injury with the Air Force your dreams kind of shifted from Olympic Gold to the UFC. I was checking out some of your other interviews and you downplayed WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. You said, "In wrestling, you win a gold medal and then what? Go to the WWE? No thanks."
bv: Yeah.

86: Now, the current WWE champion, Kurt Angle, who also holds an Olympic Gold Medal for wrestling, did just that. And there’s been others guys too, like Ken Shamrock, UFC, WWE. Do you think going to the WWE was a mistake on their part, or is it just something that’s not for you?
bv: No, that’s just a life choice. I don’t want to be an actor. Some people say, “Brandon, you should become an actor, you speak real well, you just flow with words, you NEED to be in front of a camera,” but no, I’d rather be a model. When I get to 205 I’m gonna be shredded. I’d like to go ahead and start modeling once I get to 205. But I don’t want to act, I don’t put on a front for anybody, I don’t like kissing ass, I don’t like being fake. If I was gonna be a pro wrestler I’d end up being like Steve Austin though.

86: Oh yeah?
bv: KISS MY AAAASS! (laughing) He’s a cool cat.

86: So is there anybody from WWE you’d maybe wanna call out, maybe wanna fight?
bv: Haven’t watched it in a long time…last guy I remember was the giant…

86: Andre the Giant?
bv: No, not Andre the Giant…

86: The Big Show?
bv: Yeah, the Big Show, that’s the last guy I remember seeing. That dude’s fuckin HUGE! That’d be cool to fight him just cuz he’s so big though. He’s like a big monster. You whoop his ass it’s like David versus Goliath again.

86: So, what song do you walk out to the ring to? Do you have a set song or is it different each time?
bv: I haven’t actually been able to pick my song yet. I haven’t.
